Our Story

Wahoos Bayside Pub and Grill has been an icon in Redington Shores, Florida for over 23 years, located on the beautiful bay and directly across the street from the beach and town parking lot. Our outdoor waterfront seating has some beautiful views, and you can often see dolphins, manatees, and seabirds while enjoying a great meal!

Wahoos is a favorite with our locals and tourists visiting from around the world. We are best known for our fresh fish, seafood, soups, steaks, burgers, and our creative daily chalkboard specials. From soup specials to mojo wings, deep fried ribs, Cajun Creole gumbo, red beans and rice, Cuban black beans, and fluffy jasmine rice. Everything is made fresh from scratch daily.

Brothers Jim and Jhan Lawson opened the original restaurant in 2003. While Jim passed away in 2022, locals Jeanette DeMarco and Kenny Later have taken over the helm with brother Jhan Lawson still in the kitchen, cooking his famous cast iron blackened grouper and other delicious culinary delights. Together they have taken Wahoos to a new level, with an expansion and total remodel that was completed in December 2025. After the two hurricanes, Helene and Milton flooded the entire building with 4 to 5 feet of surge from the bay and the Gulf in September 2024. The new restaurant now boasts 5,000 sq. ft., a new larger kitchen, new equipment and furnishings, new ADA compliant bathrooms, and a larger bar with a full alcohol license. We are happy to say most of our original staff were waiting to come back to work, which is one of the greatest compliments we can get!

We would like to welcome all our customers back, both old and new. We know you have been waiting a long time for us to rebuild and open again, and we are humbled and honored by the support and encouragement of all our loyal customers. Our patrons can now park in the town lot directly across from us and will be reimbursed for up to two hours of parking fees. The beach access is also across from us. A sunset and a walk on the beach are often the perfect ending to a good meal!

Our new dock has many more slips, and we look forward to seeing you all. Come by boat, car, golf cart, bike, or just crawl on in! We are open 7 days a week, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm.
